GOVERNOR IKPEAZU Give Reasons Why He Don't Support IPOB Members

The Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has given reasons, why he has been silent over the killing of some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in Aba on 9th February 2016.

The killing was carried out by the police force and some military personnel, killing not less than 13 persons injured 28 others on that day. Ever since, the Governor has been silent over the issue, neither did he reciprocate to make sure it does not happen again.

Recently, while Governor Ikpeazu was addressing some officials from Aba Chamber of Commerce, who paid him courtesy visit, on Friday. He said,
"Abia State recorded increase in crime rate during the protests by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB),  The group (IPOB) was infiltrated by hoodlums hide under it to perpetrate crime during protest."

He also said: "Such crime could have not been recorded if there is nothing like IPOB protest in Aba. eversince the protest stopped, the city has been calm and peaceful."
